I’ve worked with seniors who suffer from issues such as dementia, Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. For the last three years I’ve managed a band for Music Mends Minds, an organization that fosters the development of bands made up of musicians affected by neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s and traumatic brain injury.

My medical writing and editorial experience includes working on the staff of FLEX, a health, nutrition and bodybuilding magazine as well as editing 50 titles for a company that publishes iPhone medical apps and for in2ition, a company that publishes reports on medical devices. And, on a personal note, I grew up with older parents and have had the experience of caring for a loved one who suffered from Alzheimer’s.
